I could so easily become a bird watching nut. I really hope Barbara's seen 'The Big Year.' It's quite good. We watched it a couple days after tracking the ever elusive road runner (I made that up. I don't know if they're elusive at all. We videoed the little fella dashing this way and that and singing his little roadrunner song - which you KNOW is not a bee-beep and I made a youtube of him. So when the scene arrived where they're playing 'guess this bird song' - I beat the character to it. Because the first song was ... wait for it, wait for it ... YES!!! a roadrunner!!!)Sigh. That was a long story, wasn't it, when I should've just said: Happy Birthday, Barbara.
Am I one of the best????Booda, I saw The Big Year on the plane and enjoyed it.On our homefront, BJ harassed the Titmouse (mice?) couple. So it looks like they won't nest again this year. Now some little birds with long tails are checking out the property. This afternoon, I was trying to nap when these darn crows were yakking in the pine tree. I finally had to start barking like a mad dog to scare them away. Crows are getting to be a problem in many places.
Booda: I remember your road runner video! I wasn't sure such things existed. I've got to see The Big Year. Jack Black!Gina: You're one of the worst too! (That's a compliment.) You may have to get some noise-blocking headphones.
No headphones. I want to hear the other birdies (sat in my hammock yesterday for a full hour reading, looking up through the trees, smelling the roses, and hearing the birds).I think I will get a BB gun.
