When we went for a walk at Crissy Field, we stopped in at the Crissy Field Center, a little museum for kids. Next time I'm there I'll check out the book, and see if the seal has moved. But I don't think he will have budged.
I'm a bit tardy responding to all the kind comments because I tend to be a little lethargic the day after my birthday and for a few months. But I did appreciate them all. About the seal, I'm not sure whether he was dead or just real quiet, but I smelled herring on his breath.

Happy Birthday, Larry!
Happy Birthday, Larry!
What's that pretty bird book behind his head?
I agree with aggles about the bird book.
I also want to know- is that a live seal?

Larry, did you see any birds on your birthday?
Happy birthday to Larry. He looked so happy in the picture.
*Linda, is that the camera that he's going to lend you?
**The seal looked remarkably lifelike.

Thanks for the update, Linda. (I'm still collecting the caps. Getting closer to the goal mark! Will send it to you in 1 mail, okay?)
Larry: Please don't make me laugh so early in the morning. I need to start my work day very seriously.
'Tude: You are the best. I just got two bags of white sand to shoot things on.
