I had a wonderful dessert tonight:
A small chunk of Gethsemani Trappist Kentucky Bourbon Chocolate Fudge followed by a handful of Trader Joe's Oriental Rice Crackers, followed by a swig of ice cold Hanna Sauvignon Blanc (Russian River Valley 2006), followed by a handful of Trader Joe's Oriental Rice Crackers, followed by a medium chunk of Gethsemani Trappist Kentucky Bourbon Chocolate Fudge, followed by a sip of Peet's Major Dickison's Blend coffee, followed by a small mound of Trader Joe's Oriental Rice Crackers, followed by a large chunk of Trappist Kentucky Bourbon Chocolate Fudge, followed by followed by followed by a just a tiny glass of ice cold Hanna Sauvignon Blanc (Russian River Valley 2006), followed by a fistful of Trader Joe's Oriental Rice Crackers, floowed by a scoooop of Trappist Kentucky Bourbon Chocolate Fudge ... if you have any better ideas, please comment. The lines are open.

When I am exhausted the truly best antidote is really strong dark roast coffee and some great wine and some dark chocolate.
mmmm... Peet's Major Dickinson's Blend coffee...
...did I tell you that I gave a bag of said coffee to my folks. They loved it. Now it's the default coffee served at their place.
How did the compost I mean combo effect your dreams?
Sal: but you need a little salt to balance out the caffeine, alcohol, and chocolate. Hence, the Trader Joe's Oriental Rice Crackers. (Lays potato chips work too.)
Namowal: WHAT!!":?? You gave the bag of coffee to your folks?? You should have told me you weren't a coffee drinker. I would have changed the award. Well, you never collected on your xmas flamingo either. If you'll e-mail me your address, I'll send you an even better prize. Something ducky.
Anon: I've been dreaming of living at camp/ in dorms / in hotels almost every night for months lately. Not being able to find my belongings in order to catch my plane home. When I do make it to the airport, I remember I have to take an escalator down down down into the basement, and wait in line to get my ticket validated. I always have 5 minutes to attempt this, or I miss my flight. Is this a common dream to those who overindulge?
Linda,
I'm a big timecoffee drinker! :D
I gave it to my folks because at the time I was working long hours and had breakfast, lunch and dinner at work. Also, my folks nearby so I often visited them on their days off (where I drank plenty of coffee).
I didn't collect the flamingo because it was the holidays and I figured you probably had your hands full. I'd be happy to accept it (or the duck alternative!). Very generous of you.
I wonder if that would be a good breakfast? And I LOVE that boring GG Bridge photo!
That’s a series of heavenly dessert!
But you've not been doing the dessert for months, right? Your dream series is haunting, probably more to you than to me, and probably independent of food choices. We all have to go to the basement for validation at some time or other. Just don't think of it as hell or a mythical journey to the underworld. I recommend vitamin B after dessert, before sleep. That should liven things up.
I like almonds (plain, not salty). Just not rice crackers.... Alternate a bite of almond with a Ghirardelli 60 percent cacao chocolate chip. Repeat a lot.
Mom relayed a great dream she just had about Dad: He sat up in his grave, looked around and said: "I like this coffin!" It sounded so characteristic and made us all happy.
It is funny Anon. noticed you want/need validation! Dreaming mind is amazing.
Namowal: OK, but you have to email me your address. I only have your old work address.
Mary Ann: Please try it for breakfast and report back to us.
'tude: YES IT IS! It would probably work pretty well with the nonfat brownie mix you sent, too, if you don't happen to have a box of Gethsemani Trappist Kentucky Bourbon Chocolate Fudge lying around.
Anon: Yes, but do I really need to go to the basement night after night? I try to avoid our basement at all costs.
Sal: Your dream is so nice. (And funny.) And it does sound like your dad!
:)

Deb! (Deb is our chocolate supplier):
