Gina, hi! I was envisioning starting out with a black line--so no, not exactly. I wish I knew exactly what "the new style" is ... I just wanna loosen up a little.
Booda, I signed up for a watercolor class in college and my prof basically asked me if I were retarded. (He asked me if I was slow at picking up everything, or just slow at picking up watercolor.)
Very playful and Linda Davicky! Is that digital or tangible?
p.s. Every student should be forewarned that sooner or later they'll meet the "Are you stupid?" teacher (or authority figure), and that they shouldn't take him too seriously.
Linda - in my first journalism class at UT, the professor read the first paragraph of my press release aloud to the class. She paused for dramatic effect and said UGH!!!!!

The new style you've been talking about?
Not as easy as it looks, is it? :/ I like to check in with my first efforts, though. That makes me feel substantially better.
Water colors. It's all relative.

Remember him, Sal? Clarke?
That "teacher" was a jerk of the first order...

I think I just hypnotized myself into happiness. Love it!

Shows how much some profs know.
Then again, I AM lousy at PR. lol!
I like everything you do. Even the little illustrations you make on printouts of maps.
Hi, Mary Ann: Well, it's true it didn't make me feel great. And I did end up putting away watercolors.
Namo: Thank you. It's digital.
Dutchhill: Wow, thanks.
Gina: So mean!! I don't understand that "method" of teaching.
(Ha, ha! Well it's true I do have stacks and stacks of maps around in case I have to leave my studio.)
I did not take any of his classes.
