John Derry and Beach Glass

I've been having a blast with John Derry's brushes. He's a great teacher.

Very VERY nice. I just saw some wond'rous brushes on an animation (he painted his parts in PS), but these are way more fun. (And what a cute picture, too!!)

Stray, THANK YOU!

This is actually done in Photoshop. My iMac is too slow for Painter (for the new h20-color brushes). And there are lots of textures you can use (same is true of Painter). Though of course you don't have to use any texture at all.

Booda, thank you. John Derry just has a really clear way of thinking and presenting; lynda.com has lots of his tutorials for Photoshop and Painter. Apparently he helped develop Painter.
