That's how Judy Sierra spells her name sometimes.
It was just what I needed, meeting her this afternoon at Book Passage. This woman has a brain like I've never encountered: devilishly creative and funny. And a big heart too.
But aside from all that serious stuff, here's the fluff. It was fun. I felt like I was in the presence of a celebrity. Everyone at the store knew her, and her lunch was on the house! That meant I didn't have to buy it.
They didn't offer to buy my lunch, but that's OK. I had scarfed down two somosas from the parking attendant at the Building Dept. before I headed over the bridge.
After cafĂ© time, we made a beeline for the kids' book section where we worshipped and criticized (mostly me – not nice!) mercilessly.
