That's Jane Underwood who runs the Writing Salon on the left, with Julie Bruck who recently won Canada's 2012 Governor General's Literary Award for Poetry. Jane's organized a monthly reading series and tonight was the first night. I wore a black turtleneck and sunglasses. Even though they wouldn't let us smoke it was still a blast. And the coffee shop had this great Writers' Special: half a sandwich and a beer for $7.50.
