"Perfect for playing the piano. If only she would practice.
She'll be so sorry when she grows up that she didn't learn how to play the piano when she had the chance."
(Guess whose wistful voice is echoing in my mind. Then ask me if I'm sorry.)

wonder if there's something about the way it was taught that would have made it more FUN for you? great pic. I hated to practice and never did, but somehow I learned just by going to a weekly lesson for....10 or 12 years?
You know, the more I stare at that dog's paw, the more freaked out I get. It's like the time I sat in a meeting and suddenly noticed people's ears—those are some weird, crinkly folds of skin.
I gotta tell ya, Lisa, after drawing about 100 dogs, the paws really freak you out when you're trying to draw them, concentrating on those little toenails....
I saw the picture a few days ago and didn't comment, now I'm looking at it again ... that is some weird looking paw, Linda. Never mind the dog's stately and straight posture, but that paw ... it is just singularly peculiar.
*Okay, are you sorry? Because I told Christer that he'll be very, very sorry.

I can answer both questions since I was once your writing partner. Love the doggie photo!

Stray: My mom would try to bribe me, but it didn't work.
Sally: And are you a concert pianist?
Lisa: I know exactly what you mean.
p.s. Was it that very serious meeting where we were kicking each other under the table?
Mary Ann: Ha!
Sal: But the paws are so sweet (usually) aren't they?
coulda been a contender
